From Bournemouth to the Mar Menor.
Fly into Murcia or Alicante, then a taxi, transfer or hire car does the rest. Numbers are tappable — save the taxi one before you fly.
Flights
Two airports serve Los Alcázares. Murcia (RMU) is closer — about 35 km, half an hour. Alicante (ALC) is bigger and busier — about 90 km, an hour.
From Bournemouth, Murcia is summer-only; Alicante runs all year. Schedules change season to season, so check the airline before you plan around a day.
Summer season · around 2h25
Usually Tuesdays and Sundays, roughly April to late October. Corvera airport is about 30–35 minutes from the apartment — the easy option when it's running.
Southampton → Alicante · 45 min from Bournemouth
Handy back-up when the Bournemouth dates don't line up. Bristol and Gatwick also fly to both airports.
Taxis
Book the airport run in advance, especially late at night. As a rough guide, Murcia airport to the door is around €45–55 (more at night and weekends); Alicante is around €100+.
Taxis here work on WhatsApp — message rather than ring. Uber and Cabify don't reliably reach Los Alcázares — don't count on an app.

Desks in arrivals at RMU and ALC
All the usual names (Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Goldcar…). Handy for beaches and day trips, but you really don't need one in town — everything's walkable.
